A picnic is a pleasant pastime to break the monotony of
routine life. During the winter
vacation, along with my classmates I went on a picnic at Nation al Park at
Gazipur. For the purpose, subscriptions of all the friends were collected and
we hired a bus. We did all the shopping of rice, meat, chickens, spices, bread,
eggs, banana, cold drinks and so on. We also bought films for the cameras. In
an early morning, we started our journey for the national park and reached
there at noon. As it was winter, the sun was mild enough to provide us with
much comfort. After reaching there, we got divided into different groups and
dispersed in different directions to explore the natural beauty hidden in the
clusters of Gajari trees. We saw hundreds and thousands of Gajari clusters
covering a huge area of land. We took snaps after snaps of these trees. Some of
my friends tried to crumb up them and I with my camera took some shorts of
their attempt in climbing up these trees.
We also detected some young trees risings their head with green leaves upwards
the sky. Exploring the part we returned to our camp and had our lunch with much
pleasure. Then after having some rest, we organized a cultural programme in
which many of us took part and made us laugh with their zest and jokes.
Then we
arranged a photo-session in the middle part of the park. After the while we
were getting ready for our return journey, we saw some people in the twilight
carrying some huge logs of Gajari trees. I realized the reason why the numbers
of trees is decreasing day by day. Then all of us got into our bus and started
for home with a heavy sigh. At last we reached home safe and sound. It was
really a memorable day of my life.
