Celebration of Independence Day
The Independence Day is a ceremonious day in our national life. March 26, the day
on which our independence was declared in 1971 is celebrated every year throughout the country with much
enthusiasm and festivity. This year we have made splendid arrangements to make
the day in our college. The entire
college campus wall illuminated. To celebrate the occasion with pomp and
grandeur, the college buildings were decorated with colourful papers. The local DC attended the Ceremony as the
chief guest while the Principal presided over the ceremony. The programme of
the day started with the singing of the national anthem and hoisting of the
national flag at 8 .00 am. There was an athletic event in the morning.
Patriotic songs were heard though microphones. We all enjoyed the events. In the second half of the day there was
cultural programme which included discussion,
music, debate and entertaining
events. The most charming was a debate competition held between the teachers
and the students. Later on the Chief Guest distributed prices among the
winners. Finally, the celebration was concluded
with the renewed pledge by all
participants of the programme to work unitedly to build up the nation and
uphold the spirit of the Liberation War.
